This is a true story which I emphasize because I’ve been known to make things up. I told Ruby that I have three more books to write in my series set on Earth’s twin planet, Erimea. Paradise Unfallen is just the first book. It’ll probably take ten years to finish. I’ll be almost eighty then. By that point, I should be mature enough to handle being famous. You know, something modest, on the level of C. S. Lewis. My books would be required reading in high school and college English lit classes. Throw in honorary doctorate degrees from a few big-time universities, and I would be perfectly content. It would be ideal. It just can’t happen too fast. That might corrupt me and ruin my writing.
Ruby shook her head and said, “It won’t corrupt you. You need to get famous now and start making some money from all this writing.”
Isn’t it interesting how our wives or significant others can help us clarify our life goals?
I’m deep in the red on this writing journey. You know editors are expensive, websites cost money, book cover designers don’t work for free, and I could go on.
Since you know the pressure I’m under, please do your part: buy Paradise Unfallen, read it, write an Amazon review, and tell all your friends. Ruby will thank you, and I will too. Then maybe Valentine’s Day 2027 will be better for me than this one.
Just kidding. My sweet Ruby will be crazy about me no matter how poor I make us.
P.S. Ruby approved this post.

You two are amazing. No doubt we are blessed to have someone significant to share life’s journey. I’m looking forward to getting my copy of “Paradise Unfallen ” soon. Your creative imagination has kept me interested in more to come, even if it’s not on the agenda.
I am looking forward to see where this journey takes you. Keep on going!
